Grupsa installs ICU doors IS-550 in the City of Health of Panama
On January 18, the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, received the adaptation works in its first phase of the City of Health, which will allow the care of patients affected by Covid-19, thereby expanding hospital availability in the country in the face of the pandemic.
“After two administrations, today Panamanians have entered the City of Health. On this occasion, after a month we received this building with all the comforts and state-of-the-art technology with 300 beds to attend to patients with Covid-19 ”, of which 82 are for intensive care, said President Cortizo Cohen.
The Social Security Fund (CSS) indicated that the adjustments will provide the facility to receive patients in beds distributed as follows: 152 for Hospitalization Rooms; 48 in the Special Respiratory Care Unit and 82 in the ICU.
The director of the CSS, Enrique Lau Cortés, assured that the hospital has all the conditions to attend to patients in serious and moderately severe conditions. The adaptation works in the City of Health took a month, and had a cost of 23 million dollars, with the installation of Grupsa’s ICU System Intensive Care Doors.
